Encaustics: The Ultimate Mixed Media

In this foundational course, you will learn the basics of this fascinating and ancient method of painting.  Melted and pigmented beeswax is painted onto a surface and fused with heat to create a luminous and tactile surface. 

Some of the topics covered will include creating smooth and textured surfaces, collage, carving techniques, and image transfer. No experience is necessary. More details soon.
